The short version

Your camera feed and everything derived from it (images, posture measurements) are processed entirely on your own device, inside your browser. None of it is ever transmitted to us or anyone else, and nothing is stored. Closing the tab erases everything.

Camera & posture data

SitRight uses your webcam only while you have the tab open and have granted permission. The video is analysed locally using in-browser machine learning. We do not record, save, upload, or have any access to your camera, images, or posture data.

What does leave your device

The detection model: a one-time download of a machine-learning model file (~5 MB) from a public content-delivery network when the page first loads.
Advertising: this site displays ads served by a third-party ad network. Ad networks may use cookies or similar technologies to show and measure ads. This is the only third-party data collection on the site, and it is handled entirely by the ad provider.

Advertising & cookies

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on visits to this site and/or other sites. You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendors' use of cookies at aboutads.info/choices.

Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page visits. It is cookieless and anonymous: it records aggregate data like page views, referrer, country, and device type, and does not use cookies, fingerprinting, or any personal identifiers. It never has access to your camera or posture data.
